I am currently a PhD researcher, looking at causal AI for decision making.
I originally put this website together to document my journey from immunoassay scientist to ML engineer. However, the more I've engaged the more I love about the dscipline. And so the website grows!

Keeping Up With It All
It’s been a great couple of months
I have been on task I swear! But I have also been side questing so hard as of late…
- AIML put out an article for me on Medium
- Wrote the welcome for an internal newsletter in AIML
- I am also an ambassador for AIML so I helped with their Department of Education visit and the AIML showcase.
- Submitted a workshop to NeurIPS this year in Sydney
- Tutor in COMP 2035 Topics in Computer Science with Adelaide University
- Successfully submitted my Initial Review for my PhD!
- Participated in Digifest 2026 at Scotch College
- Actually assembled, painted, and then fielded some Warhammer 40k
- Entered a Warhammer 40k speed painting competition and got top 10
- Gave an AI art workshop for neurodivergent children with SIES
- Went to Dark Mofo in Hobart for a holiday (I am capable of rest!)
- I was in the Ogoh Ogoh procession carrying the Salmon
- I was a judge and mentor for RAIIC with RAIR at AIML
An absolutely busy period, that will get busier again entering Summer and Christmas.
- I am putting together an abstract for Learning Innovations and Emerging Technologies Conference 2026.
- I will be a panelist at Artifical Intelligence in Education Conference - South Australia 2026.
- I have signed up for an art competition, To Write Art Visual Arts Quest – The Making of Genius 2026.
- Confirmation of candidature will be coming up as well!
- Participating in a game jam like weekend with some friends
- Christmas of course
