I’ve Been So Busy And Yet I Haven’t

So!
I have had the worst tonsillitis of my life, so bad I was referred as a public case for a tonsillectomy and then paid to just have them removed privately. This lasted about 6 weeks and then a 2 week recovery post removal. I now have been sleeping better, have more energy, have had a proper rest, and value being able to swallow food more so than ever 😂.

Unfortunately, this has resulted in me taking a lot of time off from ny PhD program… Silver lining though I came up with an idea for a research direction utilising causal AI! I pitched it Monday just gone to my academic supervisors and they have given me the green light to continue on my path 🚦. I have now started a scoping review and actually can’t find my idea for implementation anywhere but have seen articles and blog posts with interest in the area I want to branch out into, meaning there is value and a want!

Wish me luck, I have to pitch it to the Uni early august, so early July really, for initial review 🤞

With more energy I have had more energy to engage with some hobbies again, after all when you’re sick all you do is watch TV and play the odd video game. Which means I have been back on the Warhammer 40K mini bandwagon again. I like to paint Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons, I’m currently working on Angron and some Alpha Legion legionaries.

Last thing, I was really excited last post to work for the uni and tutor for Grand Challenges course, however with the new Uni merger the class was cancelled week 1 due to low enrolment. Probably a good thing for me in hindsight given that I was sick for so long 😅. I have also been on sabbatical from AI Camp so that I can get myself sorted, so if anyone from AI Camp is reading thank you and sorry hahaha.
